The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) created a series of guidelines to help workers respond to emergencies involving hazardous substances. HAZWOPER training is required for workers who: Perform cleanup, Respond to emergencies, take corrective actions involving hazardous substances, and are potentially exposed to hazardous substances.
